Charlie's motivations in 'Motto' are unknown, but she is happy to see mass carnage.

Toby Hill portrayed the Peeing Scout, the first Scout to hear the footsteps of the impending doom, as well as the first to pee against a tree.

The four young actors portraying the Scouts here had to endure takes and takes of running on screen. A trait that Hearn has used in almost every one of his films to date.

Georgie, played by Elizabeth Boag, had previously appeared in Hearn's 'Cross-Eyed Waltz' in 2004. She got to do all her own stunts on 'Motto' which included having her head smashed.

Jem Rycraft portrayed the Woodsman in 'Motto'. Initially the character was designed so that the audience never saw the top half of his head, but this proved difficult in a couple of shots.

Annie sucking on a lollipop, covered in blood. The innocence of youth destroyed by blood, guts and death.

Annie, played in Motto by PennyJo Koviou walks off into the distance to return in Scrawl as a different character. Writer/Director Hearn felt that the role of Jenny in Scrawl suited PJ much more than Annie, so she moved sideways into another challenging role.

Derek Jones played the mysterious Caretaker in Motto and returns to play him in Scrawl. He is also the Grandfather of Scrawl's 'Annie' in real life, Annabelle Le Gresley.
